Quote Only Products in the Buyer Portal
What’s changed?
It is now possible to quote non-purchasable and out-of-stock products in the Buyer Portal. This feature can be enabled on both the back end for a sales rep and/or on the front end for a buyer. Check out the user documentationfor more details on how it will function, and allow these use cases.
This feature is a very powerful unlock to several new quoting use cases when combined with the ability to turn off both discounts which allows for over-quoting, and checkout, which gives you greater control over how a quote converts.
Additional Quoting Improvements
Quote Currency
What’s changed?
All currency on a quote will now display the currency format set in the currency settings of BigCommerce. These changes were applied to all places where currency is referenced.
Coming within the next week!
URL changing for the Noticeable
These updates will soon be delivered on https://B2Bedition.noticeable.news/ instead of https://bundleb2b.noticeable.news/
Landing Page for Junior Buyers In The Buyer Portal
What’s changing?
Junior Buyers will now land on the shopping list page, instead of the account setting page when logging in or accessing the Buyer Portal Account pages.
The Buyer Portal Registration workflow now supports the settings “Customers must have or create an account to check out”
What’s changing?
If the setting “Customers must have or create an account to check out” is enabled in BigCommerce the checkout will now reroute to the Buyer Portal registration form to ensure registration continuity.
Transactional Email Update
What’s changing?
The transactional email system update will be in production soon! The new email system will appear and function just like the current BigCommerce transactional email system. This will allow for greater customization and control over how emails are delivered to your Buyers. Preview the user documentation.
Important Things to Know
All email templates that were unedited, and using the default B2B edition email templates will automatically have the new defaults applied.
If you made any changes to the current B2B edition default templates - these changes will be moved over into the new system. Once this feature is live you can reset any old template to default to apply the new and improved templates. We highly recommend moving to the new templates soon after the feature launch for the best experience.
