Buyer Portal Updates

Global vs Storefront Settings

What’s changed?

Previously, merchants that have chosen to use global settings over storefront settings were still able to make edits to settings within their storefront that did not carry over into the global settings option. This caused confusion around which group of settings were applied to their pages. With our latest update, merchants opting to use global settings will now see corresponding settings for storefront settings greyed out and uneditable. Changes to the settings corresponding to the storefront settings option can only be made by unselecting the “use global” checkbox.

Global Settings

Global settings can be found in the Settings tab within the B2B Edition app

Storefront Settings

Storefront-level settings can be found within the Storefronts tab by clicking in to the specific storefront

General storefront settings (uncheck “Use global” to edit and use storefront-level settings)

Billing and Shipping Addresses in Quotes

What’s changed?

Previously, when selecting billing and shipping addresses during quote creation, users would see both types of saved addresses populate when choosing a shipping address as well as a billing address. With the latest update, when selecting a billing or shipping address, users will only see the corresponding address types populating for billing and shipping addresses.

Sync Order Updates to Invoices

What’s changed?

Previously, any changes made to orders were not automatically reflected in the order invoice. With the latest update, any changes made to an order address will be reflected in the order invoice. This is supported by both B2B Edition theme version and the Buyer Portal.

Cart Updates

What’s changed?

Previously, when products in a cart were added to a quote, the products would still persist in the cart and result in an abandoned cart email being triggered unless the buyer manually removed the products from the cart. With the latest update, if a buyer adds all products from the cart to a quote by clicking the “add all to quote” button, the cart will automatically clear.

Adding Products

What’s changed?

Previously, when adding products to a shopping list or quote, the notification indicating that the product has been added to the cart/quote would persist for too long, requiring users to manually dismiss the notification. With the latest update, users should now see the notification indicating that a product has been added to their cart for no longer than 5 seconds.

Translate Quote to Spanish

What’s changed?

Previously, when choosing to translate the app to Spanish, quotes would remain untranslated. With the latest update, when the app is translated to Spanish, the translation is also reflected in quotes.
