Whats New?
Quote Extra Fields
What’s changed?
Quote extra fields are now available in the Buyer Portal and the Theme version! Allowing you to collect and store additional information on a quote! These fields can also optionally be shown on the quote request form to collect more information from your buyers.
API Changes:
The Get user extra field configs and Get quote extra field configs endpoints now support pagination, and we renamed value
to fieldValue
in the Quote API due to changes related to migrating the quote extra fields to the unified extra fields module.
These changes however are backwards compatible, so there should be no impact to existing stores. However we highly recommend updating to fieldValue
Quote info panel on New Quotes Requests
As part of quote extra fields project and the planned quotes control panel update we did make same changes to the Buyer Portal quote request form. We added a new section called “Quote info”. Which includes any new extra fields, quote title, reference number, as well as any CC emails for quote emails.
We also removed the ability to change the contact name or email when a registered user is requesting a quote.
API to Calculate Shipping and Tax on a Quote
This allows you to get shipping rates, custom shipping methods, select a shipping rate, and remove a shipping rate from a quote all from the API!

Advance Account Hierarchy - Beta
This establishes parent-child relationships between business accounts, mirroring the real-life structure of your buyer's organization. Each subsidiary, brand, or location can have its own account with all the rules and features business accounts currently enjoy today. This allows you to support large brands with complex organizational structures. It also ensures your data matches how it’s set up on your ERP for better data consistency and smoother operations. This feature will only be available on the Buyer Portal.
Additional Buyer Permissions to Assign to Custom Roles for Advance Account Hierarchy- Included in Beta
The launch of advanced account hierarchy will include an additional level of permission when creating custom buyer roles called “company and subsidiaries.” This level allows the buyer to access and manage their assigned company and any subsidiary accounts underneath it. This feature will only be available on the Buyer Portal.
To participate in the Advanced Account Hierarchy beta you must be on the Buyer Portal. Learn More.
And have the independent company behavior enabled. Learn more.
