Happy Halloween from the B2B team!

Here are your updates for October 31st:

Default Setting for Discounts and Checkouts on a Quote in the Buyer Portal

What’s changed?

Two new settings have been added in Settings > Quotes, allowing you to determine how discount and checkout settings will populate when a new quote is generated. This means each individual quote will already have the most common settings for your use case configured to reduce time spent building quotes and further prevent human error.

Up Next - Coming soon!

We will not push any new features or updates during November and early December to ensure stability during the holiday selling season.

In December and January, we have a TON of new features coming! We are incredibly excited to launch all the exciting things we’ve been working on over the last few months! Some of them include:

Quotes Control Panel Update

You can read more about it here.

Quote Tags

Tags help sales teams collaborate and organize quotes. They can be utilized for anything from approvals to reminders to follow up or to mark that this is a hot lead. Next year, they will also become webhooks, allowing you to build and trigger automated workflows.

Quote Staff Notes

Staff notes allow your sales teams can leave internal notes on a quote for themselves or team members. These can even be automatically pushed and populated on the converted order for any downstream team members, like fulfillment.

Quote Extra Fields

Quote extra fields help you collect and store additional data on a quote. They can be exposed on the storefront to ensure the buyer fills out additional fields when requesting a quote, or only in the dashboard, giving the sales rep additional fields to enter and store data.

API to Calculate Shipping and Tax on a Quote

Allows you to calculate shipping and tax on a quote without accessing the UI in the control panel.

Advance Account Hierarchy

This establishes parent-child relationships between business accounts, mirroring the real-life structure of your buyer's organization.  Each subsidiary, brand, or location can have its own account with all the rules and features business accounts currently enjoy today. This allows you to support large brands with complex organizational structures. It also ensures your data matches how it’s set up on your ERP for better data consistency and smoother operations. This feature will only be available on the Buyer Portal.

Additional Buyer Permissions to Assign to Custom Roles for Advance Account Hierarchy

The launch of advanced account hierarchy will include an additional level of permission when creating custom buyer roles called “company and subsidiaries.” This level allows the buyer to access and manage their assigned company and any subsidiary accounts underneath it. This feature will only be available on the Buyer Portal.
